Comedian Arnel Ignacio has shared some advice to individuals who are confused about their sexuality.
"Para doon sa iba na nalilito pa kung ano ang sexuality nila, pwede naman kayo M-W-F lalaki, T-TH-S, bakla. (For those of you who are still confused about what your sexuality is, you can be M-W-F male, T-TH-S, gay)," said Arnel after the screening of their upcoming movie "Jackstone 5" at Trinoma in Quezon City recently.
Arnel added, "Wala namang maninita sa inyo. Wala naman certificate yan. Ako nga eh ilang beses ko ng binawi pero balik pa rin ako ng balik. Wala naman kasing naninita. (No one will judge you. There's no certificate for that. I've already withdrawn it several times, but I keep coming back. No one will judge you.)"
"Set yourselves free from all labels and categories. Kayo lang ang kumukulong sa sarili ninyo. (You are the only ones locked up in your own worlds.) You can always change your mind, and nobody will give a damn," the comedian said.
Award-winning director Joel Lamangan said that after directing a gay movie, it would be a good opportunity to direct a film about lesbians.
"Sa ngayon wala pa namang offer sa akin na mag-direk ng lesbian film. Pero kung meron at maganda ang project, gagawin ko. (Right now, I haven't had any offers to direct a lesbian film. But if there is a good project, I will do it)," he said.
Joel served as both an actor and a director. But the popular director said he would never direct and act again at the same time because it was difficult.
Produced by APEX Creative Production Inc., the movie "Jackstone 5" centers around a group of gay men who enjoyed playing jackstones and idolized the Jackson 5, particularly Michael Jackson, during their childhood. Now in their senior years, the five friends, all overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), reunite and travel to Pagsanjan to rekindle their friendships. Also starring are Eric Quizon, Gardo Versoza, Jim Pabenco, Abed Green, and Jhon Mark Marcia. The line producer is Dennis Evangelista.
"Jackstone 5" will be shown in theaters nationwide on Dec. 3.
