QC gov't issues traffic advisory for Eco-Run on Nov. 29

The Quezon City Government has issued a traffic advisory ahead of the QC Eco-Run on Saturday, Nov. 29, urging motorists to expect slower travel times on several major roads.
The event, which supports the city’s environmental advocacy, aims to encourage residents to adopt healthier lifestyles while raising awareness of eco-friendly practices.
The run will kick off and conclude at Quezon City Hall Risen Garden, covering an extensive route along Elliptical Road and Quezon Avenue.
Due to the scale of the activity, temporary traffic adjustments will be implemented from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Motorists should expect congestion or limited access in the following areas:
• Elliptical Road
• Quezon Avenue
• Kalayaan Avenue
• Commonwealth Avenue
• East Avenue
• Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago Avenue
• North Avenue
• West Avenue
• Timog Avenue
• Araneta Avenue

Authorities noted that the run is expected to attract a large number of participants, leading to early-morning road activity around government complexes and nearby commercial districts. Traffic personnel will be deployed to manage road closures and guide motorists through detours.

The city government encourages drivers to take alternate routes, leave earlier than usual, and follow traffic advisories posted online.
