The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) is now just steps away from completing nationwide coverage of its medical transport support program after turning over 10 additional Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) on Friday, November 28, at its Main Office in Mandaluyong City.
In a statement, PCSO said the turnover forms part of its accelerated implementation of the Medical Transport Vehicle Donation Program (MTVDP), in line with President Marcos’s directive to equip all provinces, cities, and municipalities with patient transport units to strengthen universal access to emergency medical care.

Each PTV is equipped with essential lifesaving tools—stretcher, oxygen tank, wheelchair, first-aid kit, blood pressure monitor, and medicine cabinet—ensuring safe and timely patient transfers to hospitals and rural health facilities.
PCSO General Manager and other agency officials led the ceremonial turnover to local chief executives from San Pedro City, Calapan City, Legazpi City, Ilagan City, Malolos City, Muñoz City, San Jose City, Olongapo City, Iriga City, and Angeles City.

99% of LGUs now equipped with PTVs
PCSO noted that when President Marcos assumed office in 2022, the agency had already distributed 680 PTVs nationwide.
It accelerated its efforts in 2025, resulting in several distribution milestones.
On November 25, PCSO delivered 82 PTVs in Bacolod City, bringing national coverage to 98 percent.
With the latest 10 units, the total number of PTVs distributed nationwide has reached 1,630, representing 99 percent coverage of the country’s 1,642 local government units (LGUs).
PCSO said the continued rollout underscores its commitment to ensuring that communities—from urban centers to remote rural areas—have access to reliable, lifesaving transport support during medical emergencies.
Target: 100% distribution by end of 2025
For 2025, PCSO has allocated P1 billion for the procurement of 395 additional Patient Transport Vehicles.
The agency aims to complete distribution to all remaining LGUs and achieve 100 percent nationwide coverage before the year ends.
