When she assumed leadership of Swiss luxury brand Charriol, Coralie Charriol made it her mission to carry on the legacy her father, Philippe, started. She created collections that not only respond to what today’s consumers want, but also to what they didn’t know they needed. She ensures that every piece the brand produces meets high standards and continues to reflect the craftsmanship Charriol has been known for over the years. Beyond design and production, she also preserves the relationships her father forged over time, including the brand’s ties to the Philippine market.

That’s why, whenever her schedule permits, Coralie makes it a point to visit the Philippines. On Nov. 13, 2025, she returned to the country, leading surprises sure to make Filipinos’ holiday experience with the brand even more festive.
“The Philippines is an incredible market for Charriol,” Coralie told Manila Bulletin Lifestyle. “The brand is well-appreciated here. What’s amazing is that it resonates across different generations—from young people to their mothers and grandmothers.”

Our interview with Coralie took place in Charriol’s newest boutique in Central Square Mall in Taguig City. Unlike its previous space, the brand’s latest location is brighter and more spacious, offering shoppers a more comfortable in-store experience and allowing the brand to present its pieces as if they were fine artworks in a museum. Complementing the elegant white and neutral tones of the store interior is the brand’s signature deep purple color.
“I’m much happier here than we were in the previous mall location. We have over 10 stores in the Philippines and want to keep them fresh and evolving so shoppers can enjoy a pleasant experience when they walk through the door,” Coralie says. “This space has a nice atmosphere; I want it to be inviting. It is luxurious, but still comfortable. We try to create a living-room–like space where people can sit, put their bags down, and explore the collection with ease.”
A highlight of the new store is the brand’s “Bijoux Montre” Mariner Watch. “Bijoux montre” is a French term meaning “jewelry watch.” The idea behind this timepiece stems from Coralie’s exploration of today’s jewelry trends—one of which is chains.
“When there was a whole trend toward chains, I thought, ‘Charriol does cable, we don’t do chains. Where am I going to find our Charriol chain?’” Coralie recalls. “Then I realized, in our St. Tropez watch, there’s a chain that has been attached to it for 40 years. That’s our chain!”

That chain, called the Mariner, draws from nautical heritage, symbolizing strength and sophistication. For this season, it is interpreted into a “manchette”—a French term meaning “cuff”—type of timepiece, where the watch case is integrated into a wide, cuff-like bracelet. Crafted in radiant metal tones with engraved torsade details, the piece is elevated by a luminous mother-of-pearl dial and diamond accents.
Its sleek silhouette is a nod to vintage timepieces. It is perfect for stacking and is gender-fluid, something Coralie is proud to note. “In the rest of the world, the brand is skewed more toward women. But in the Philippines, while it’s still popular with women, men really appreciate the bangles as well,” Coralie muses. “I think the trend of men wearing more jewelry is great, and we’ve been able to cater to that.”

Apart from the new store and the latest timepiece collection, Coralie is also making the holiday season extra festive with the launch of a larger-than-life Charriol Snow Globe installation at 11th Avenue, Bonifacio High Street, BGC. At its heart, the iconic C-logo and signature cable bracelet accent gleam amid a swirl of snow, creating a timeless expression of elegance and artistry. The installation will be open to the public in BGC until Dec. 13, 2025, before traveling to Mall of Asia from Dec. 15, 2025, to Jan. 15, 2026.
Shoppers can also take home a piece of the wonder. For a minimum single-receipt purchase of ₱40,000 at any Charriol boutique nationwide, customers will receive an exclusive Charriol Snow Globe—a luxurious keepsake that captures the brand’s festive spirit.
