Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno" Domagoso underscored the importance of strong coordination between the national and local governments as the city received 28 Tamaraw FX units, which will be deployed to various barangays to enhance emergency response capabilities.
Vice Mayor Chi Atienza, councilors from the Fifth District, and representatives from Toyota Philippines also attended the ceremony.
The new vehicles will serve as rescue units in barangays across Manila, allowing quicker and more efficient response to emergencies within their communities.
Domagoso encouraged lawmakers to continue prioritizing their districts, emphasizing the importance of securing national resources to support local needs. “Sabi ko sa mga Congressman: mag-focus kayo kung paano n'yo maipaglalaban ang inyong distrito na inyong nire-represent (I told the congressmen to focus on how to stand for the districts you represent). Get as many as you can, pull the resources from the national government and give it to your district,” he said.
