BAGUIO CITY — First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos led the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the
Mansion House here on Thursday, Nov. 27.
Joining her were former President now Pampanga Rep. Gloria M. Arroyo, former Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos, Baguio Rep. Mauricio Domogan, and Baguio Mayor Benjie Magalong.
Grades 2 and 3 pupils from the Rizal Elementary School and Gibraltar Elementary School circled the Christmas Tree while receiving Christmas gifts.
Performing were University of Baguio Voices Chorale and the Philippine Military Academy Marching Band.
The Mansion House, built in 1908 as the summer residence of the American governor general, became the official summer residence of Philippine presidents beginning in the Commonwealth era.
After restoration and renovation efforts, the Mansion House was inaugurated as a presidential museum on Sept. 8, 2024 and is open Tuesdays to Sundays.
