Sequel to 200M-view webtoon 'Dark Moon: The Blood Altar' set for release
Korean entertainment company HYBE announced the sequel to its highly successful webtoon “Dark Moon: The Blood Altar,” which garnered over 200 million views worldwide.
The sequel, “Dark Moon: Two Moons,” will be released on Nov. 28 in North America, Latin America, Thailand, and Korea, followed by Japan and Indonesia on Nov. 29, through Webtoon.
“Dark Moon: Two Moons” will arrive two years after the conclusion of “Dark Moon: The Blood Altar” in 2023.
“Dark Moon: The Blood Altar” was created in collaboration with K-pop idol group ENHYPEN and featured an urban fantasy teen romance that captivated readers worldwide with its vampire-themed narrative, intricate world-building, and high-quality artwork.
The series was translated into 10 languages—including English, Japanese, and Spanish—and topped webtoon charts in Germany, France, and Spanish-speaking regions.
“Dark Moon: Two Moons” continues the story, introducing a dramatic rivalry between vampires and werewolves, along with compelling new antagonists.
The sequel is expected to engage both longtime fans and newcomers to the “Dark Moon” universe.
“As ‘Dark Moon: The Blood Altar’ was widely loved around the globe, we hope ‘’Dark Moon: Two Moons’ will also fascinate readers worldwide with its immersive storytelling. The introduction of new characters marks an exciting new chapter in the saga, and we believe even readers unfamiliar with the previous series will find it thoroughly intriguing,” said HYBE.
