President Marcos has welcomed five newly-designated non-resident ambassadors of Tunisia, Paraguay, Burkina Faso, the Marshall Islands, and Serbia in the Philippines.
Marcos received the credentials of the ambassadors in a formal presentation ceremony at Malacañan Palace on Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 25.
The President received the letters of credence of Ambassador of Tunisia Mohamed Trabelsi, Ambassador of Paraguay Miguel Angel Ubaldino Romero Alvarez, Ambassador of Burkina Faso Bibata Nebie/Ouedraogo, Ambassador of the Republic of the Marshall Islands Anjanette Kattil, and Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia Ivana Golubović-Duboka.
The presentation of credentials marked the official start of the ambassadors’ diplomatic tenure as representatives of their respective governments to the Philippines, underscoring the mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and fostering international cooperation.
According to Malacañang, the Philippines established diplomatic relations with Tunisia in 1975; with Paraguay in 1962; Burkina Faso in 2002; with the Marshall Islands in 1988; and Serbia in 1972.
