Lee Je-hoon's 'Taxi Driver 3' debuts at No. 1 on Viu
The Korean series “Taxi Driver 3,” starring actor Lee Je-hoon, debuted at No. 1 on OTT video service Viu.
Viu announced that season 3 of “Taxi Driver” premiered at No. 1 on the platform in Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region.
It said the strong regional debut was bolstered by its record-breaking domestic performance in Korea.
Based on Nielsen Korea data, the first episode of “Taxi Driver 3” on TV network SBS earned a nationwide rating of 9.5 percent, marking the highest premiere for any Korean mini-series this year.
“Taxi Driver 3” premiered on Nov. 21. The series is about a mysterious taxi company, Rainbow Taxi Company, and driver Kim Do-gi (Je-hoon). They operate a clandestine vigilante service that completes revenge on behalf of the wronged victims.
