Several Catholic churches in Rizal Province joined the entire Roman Catholic Church worldwide in the observance of 'Red Wednesday'.
Shrines such as the International Shrine of the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage in Antipolo City, Diocesan Shrine and Parish of the Holy Rosary in Cardona, and the Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Saint Clement in Angono led the observance of the day to remember persecuted Christians on Nov. 26.
Just like other Catholic churches in and outside the country, the facades and exterior of the churches in Rizal were illuminated with red light to signify their participation in the global Church' s observance of Red Wednesday.
