It was a double celebration for Park Inn by Radisson Clark as the hotel welcomed the Christmas season and marked its tenth year in the hospitality and tourism industry on November 21, 2025.
Park Inn by Radisson Clark General Manager Lorenzo Tang, SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation (SMHCC) President Elizabeth T. Sy, and Executive Vice President Peggy Angeles, with Clark Development Corporation President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera lit the white and blue ornamented Christmas tree in a special gathering. The occasion grew merrier with a mini concert of holiday tunes, delivered by the Holy Angel University Chorale, led by Eric Robert Santos, and soprano Marymae Meneses.
"Today is not just about lighting the tree; it is about celebrating hope, unity, and friendship. The Christmas season reminds us to take a break, pause, and rest. It is a time to get together, appreciate each other, and show compassion to the less fortunate people," said Tang in his welcome remarks.
He also highlighted Park Inn’s ten-year development from a hotel with only 154 rooms and growing to 254, and the addition of the annexed SMX Convention Center.
“As the year ends, we look forward to another chapter in 2026. As part of a growing community, we want to be a successful model for hoteliers and other establishments in Clark. There will be very big and exciting developments. Let’s see what is going to happen in the next two years for Park Inn by Radisson Clark, SM City complex, and New Clark City,” Tang added.
In her speech, Angeles hailed the hotel’s consistent high occupancy rate and good financial standing in the past decade, as well as the management team’s resiliency and flexibility in navigating the challenges in operations.
“Today, Park Inn by Radisson Clark stands proudly as the largest Park Inn property in the Philippines with a total of 254 rooms. Perfectly situated and seamlessly connected to the SMX Convention Center, the hotel continues to thrive, serving a dynamic range of markets across nationalities, industries, and event types. But more than its location and capacity, Park Inn has played a pivotal role in strengthening Clark as Pampanga’s premier destination and as a center for business and events.
Its steady growth and stellar reputation are anchored on the dedication, talent, and resilience of the team, led over the years by its past three general managers, and carried forward to bring excellence by Lorenzo Tang,” said Angeles.
Atty. Devanadera shared Clark Freeport’s recognition as Asia’s Leading Meetings and Conference Destination in the recent World Travel Awards, a first for the country, and acknowledged SMHCC as one of the pillars of tourism in Clark. “We know that the SM group is very much part of that (award). It is based on a shared vision, a shared commitment, and a shared move to raise the bar of excellence for Clark as a community.”
Mabalacat mayor Gerald Guttrie Aquino also recognized the hotel’s role in the growth of local tourism. “We appreciate the Park Inn’s support to local initiatives, cultural programs, and partnerships that help strengthen our economy and showcase the cultural character of our region as well,” concluded Mayor Aquino.
