Motorcycle rider dies after hitting parked truck in Rizal

A motorcycle rider died after crashing into a parked truck along C6 By-Pass Road in Barangay Ampid 1, San Mateo, Rizal, on Nov. 23, the San Mateo Municipal Police said.

Initial investigation showed that the victim, identified as "Ren," accidentally hit the parked truck at the side of the road while its driver was changing its tires.

Ren was quickly rushed to a local hospital for medical treatment but was declared dead on arrival by attending physicians due to severe head injuries he sustained in the accident.

Meanwhile, the truck driver was placed under police custody and is now facing charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
