The local government of Pasig has been included in the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Seal of Protection Hall of Fame, following its third consecutive year of being recognized as one of the country’s leading government institutions for its consistent implementation of transparent management of its assets.
GSIS recognized the city by awarding the Seal of Protection–Gold Award, the highest level of recognition, during the GSIS Pagpupugay sa Kaagapay Seal of Protection Awards on Nov. 20, at the Iloilo Convention Center.
Representatives from the city’s Office of General Services (OGS), led by Ruth Romano, accepted the award on behalf of Pasig City. The OGS ensures that all city-owned properties are properly recorded, managed, and insured to protect them against risks or damage.
The city was one of 15 government institutions nationwide to receive the Gold Award this year.
The local government said the recognition reflects the city’s consistent implementation of efficient, transparent, and responsible management of its assets.
According to GSIS, the Seal of Protection – Gold Award is granted only to offices that meet rigorous standards in asset documentation, insurance coverage, and risk management.
“Ang muling pagkamit ng Gold Award ay nagpapakita na sa Lungsod ng Pasig, mataas ang pagpapahalaga sa public resources. Mula sa pinakamaliit na kagamitan hanggang sa pinakamalaking pasilidad, lahat ng ito ay isinasailalim sa maayos na inventory at insurance program (The repeated achievement of the Gold Award demonstrates Pasig City’s strong commitment to public resources. From the smallest equipment to the largest facilities, all assets undergo proper inventory and insurance programs),” the city government said.
“Tinitiyak nito na ang bawat pisong mula sa buwis ng mamamayan ay ligtas, napangangalagaan, at nagagamit nang tama (This ensures that every peso of taxpayers’ money is safe, well-managed, and properly utilized),” it added.
It also vowed to remain prepared, resilient, and accountable, saying, “Isang pamahalaang nag-iingat, nagpoprotekta, at responsable sa bawat pag-aari ng bayan (A government that safeguards, protects, and takes responsibility for every public asset).”
