Police arrested a factory worker convicted by a court for possession of illegal drugs in Taguig on Nov. 25.
The arrested individual, identified as alias RR, 25, was taken into custody in Block 3, Zone 3, Barangay Fort Bonifacio, by operatives from the Southern Police District’s District Mobile Force Battalion with the support of the District Special Operations Unit and the Warrant and Subpoena Sections of Makati and Taguig police.
RR was tagged as the No. 7 top most wanted person of the Makati police for November.
His apprehension was based on a warrant of arrest for service of sentence issued by Judge Bernard Bernal of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 70 Taguig City on Aug. 22 stemming from his case for violation of Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) under Republic At 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
He is temporarily detained at the Taguig police’s custodial facility pending the return of the warrant to the court.
Acting District Director Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo of the SPD said the arrest of the most wanted person demonstrated SPD’s strong commitment to tracking down wanted individuals involved in illegal drug activities.
