The Southern Police District (SPD) arrested 74 persons and seized P1.88 million worth of illegal drugs in week-long operations from Nov. 17 to 23.
During the period, SPD’s different units conducted 59 anti-illegal drug operations that resulted in the arrest of 74 people involved in illegal drug activities, consisting of two high-value individuals and 72 street-level individuals.
SPD operatives also seized 276.42 grams of shabu, five grams of marijuana, and 0.9 gram of kush, along with other drug-related paraphernalia.
The Taguig police recorded the highest number of operations and confiscations, while the Muntinlupa police posted the highest value of illegal drugs seized.
Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, SPD acting district director, said these accomplishments highlight the commitment of SPD personnel to combat the proliferation of illegal drugs.
