The Antipolo City Police said the truck lost its brakes while cruising along Sumulong Highway, causing it to crash into another truck in front of it.
The two trucks subsequently hit three more motorcycles and two SUVs, before hitting a stoplight and an electric post.
Three of the victims, including the dump truck driver, were immediately brought to different hospitals but all were declared dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, the four other victims are now in stable condition.
