P200,000 reward offered for info on kagawad's murder

ZAMBOANGA CITY – More than P200,000 in reward money has been offered to persons who can provide information leading to the arrest of suspects in the murder of Barangay Councilor Julhambri Utubara here last Saturday, Nov. 22.

Mayor Khymer Olaso offered P100,000.

Liga ng mga Barangay President Jordan Evangelista dangled P120,000 for information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects in the Utubara case and another shooting incident in Santa Catalina.

Evangelista is the barangay chairman of Santa Catalina, the barangay where Utubara, councilor of Barangay Manicahan, was shot.

The barangay council of Manicahan issued a resolution condemning the death of Utubara.

The barangay council, who described Utubara as a great loss, demanded justice the soonest possible time and expressed deep condolences to his family and relatives.

The murder sparked public outrage, particularly from residents in Manicahan. Viral expressions of anger, disgust and sympathy were posted on social media hours after the murder.
