Verbena is forecast to make landfall or pass close to northeastern Mindanao between Monday noon and afternoon.
Afterward, it is expected to cross Visayas and northern Palawan, and reach the West Philippine Sea by Wednesday, Nov. 26.
PAGASA said Verbena may slightly intensify before landfall but will likely traverse the country as a tropical depression and strengthen into a tropical storm once it reaches open waters.
