4 dead as cargo truck rams tricycle in Quezon

TAGKAWAYAN, Quezon – Four individuals were killed and a minor student was seriously injured when a cargo truck rammed a tricycle on Quirino Highway, Barangay Santa Cecilia, this town, on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 23.
Police identified the victims as Michael, tricycle driver; Lea, minor; Shirly, and Dianne.
They sustained serious injuries and were declared dead in a hospital.
Another minor, Daniele, sustained leg and head injuries and is under treatment in a hospital.
The truck driven by Jerome, 42, allegedly lost its brakes in an ascending curve portion and hit and dragged the tricycle for 150 meters.
Jerome is in the custody of the Tagkawayan police and faces reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide, physical injury, and property damage cases.
