2 Romualdezes sign party-list group's manifesto of support for Speaker Dy

Forty-four members of the Party-list Coalition Foundation, Inc. (PCFI)--including two members of the Romualdez family--have signed a manifesto of support for House Speaker Faustino "Bojie" Dy III.
In a statement released to House of Representatives reporters Monday night, Nov. 24, the PCFI expressed its "continuous and unwavering support to Speaker Faustino 'Bojie' G. Dy IlI as the leader of the House of Representatives".
"We recognize Speaker Bojie Dy's consistent efforts to promote dialogue, reduce tensions, anc foster a collaborative atmosphere among members of the House--ever during moments of political strain," the group said.
"His approach to leadership focuses on bridging differences rather than deepening divides, making him stabilizing and calming presence in the chamber. Our continued support reflects our confidence in his ability to guide the House with fairness and transparency during a crucial period for our nation," it added.
Leading the signatories of the two-page document was PCFI President TGP Party-list Rep. Jose "Bong" Teves Jr.
Tingog Party-list Reps. Yedda Marie Romualdez and Andrew Julian Romualdez also signed the manifesto of support for Dy.
It was only last Sept. 17 when Dy--President Marcos' party-mate over at the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) and Isabela 6th district congressman--replaced the Leyte 1st district Rep. Martin Romualdez as House head honcho.
"As the nation faces divisiveness, the need for steady, unifying leadership in the House of Representatives has never been more critical," the PCFI said.
The group noted that it values "leadership that promotes inclusivity, stability, and genuine collaboration".
Referring to Dy, PCFI said: "We believe that under his leadership, the legislative agenda will remair focused on reforms that uplift communities, protect democratic processes, and advance the welfare of every Filipino family."
"Transparency, institutional reform, and substantive legislation that puts the people first are the pathways to ensuring our 'Bagong Pilipinas'," it further said.
