2 killed in Sulu IED explosion

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Two persons were killed in an improvised fishing device explosion in Sulu province on Saturday, Nov. 22.
The fatalities were identified as Abdul Tiri Basang, 70; and Indal Pascual, 40, residents of Zone 3, Barangay Tulay, Jolo municipality.
Two persons were injured in the blast – Tulli Mislani, a fisherman, and a female.
Investigation showed that the suspects were preparing improvised dynamite fishing devices when these suddenly exploded.
The two fatalities died on the spot while the two other victims were taken to a medical facility in the area.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
