Pasay gov't conducts seminar for vendors on proper meat handling
The city government of Pasay conducted a seminar for market vendors to strengthen food security practices and ensure proper handling of meat products sold in the public market.

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the seminar was held by the National Meat Inspection Service and the City Veterinary Office, which aimed to equip vendors with guidelines on sanitation, meat inspection protocols, and proper storage and transportation of meat to prevent contamination.
Rubiano said the initiative was also part of the city government’s campaign to protect consumers and maintain high standards of public health.
She said that during the seminar, vendors were briefed on how to identify stamped and inspected meat. They were also instructed on maintaining cleanliness in their stalls and equipment, as well as complying with local ordinances on meat selling.
Market vendors who attended the seminar expressed their appreciation for the training. They said it would help them maintain product quality and strengthen consumer trust.
