BACOLOD CITY – Police nabbed the most wanted person in Negros Island Region (NIR) in Barangay Dos Hermanas, Talisay City, Negros Occidental province on Thursday, Nov. 20.
The suspect was a 36-year-old farm caretaker who was served a warrant issued by the Bacolod Regional Trial Court Branch 41 dated Nov. 19, 2025 for acts of lasciviousness in relation to Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act against a minor.
Investigation said the suspect allegedly dragged and molested the victim in a sugarcane plantation.
The suspect threatened to kill her if she reports the abuse.
A P180,000 bail was recommended by the court for the suspect’s temporary freedom.
