Sunday, Nov. 23 was a day well-spent for Batangas 1st district Rep. Leandro Legarda Leviste after he took his mom, Senator Loren Legarda on a date to a place where she had never been to before.
This place was none other than the Manila Baywalk Dolomite Beach. This artifical beach developed in 2020 is known for its striking white sand.
"Dinala ko ang aking ina kanina para sa kanyang first time sa Dolomite Beach. Ang ganda at ang linis! (I brought my mom earlier to dolomite beach for her first visit there. It's so beautiful and it's so clean!)" Leviste wrote in a Facebook post late Sunday night.
The 32-year-old also shared in the same post pictures of his #Sundate with his beloved mother--a known environmentalist.
"Buti nalang may ganitong mga pasyalan na bukas para sa lahat ng mga pamilya. Salamat, Mama, sa pagsuporta mo ngayon sa Dolomite Beach. (It's a good thing we have a place like this that all families to enjoy. Thank you, Mom, for supporting the dolomite beach)," the 32-year-old congressman said.
The dolomite beach project--which had a price tag of ₱389 million--was part of the broader Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program during the previous Duterte administration.
