Abby Viduya-Ylanna recalls being scammed out of P3 million worth of jewelry
Actress Abby Viduya-Yllana has revealed that she was scammed out of P3 million worth of jewelry.
Abby made the revelation in the Maddox Jewelry vlog hosted by Charo Cordial. The wife of actor Jomari Yllana said that the incident happened a few years ago, but she's giving jewelry another chance.
"Bumili ako ng six-carat jewelry online only to find out hindi pala siya totoo. Sayang talaga. Pero maraming beses na talaga ako na scam ng jewelry online. (I bought six-carat jewelry online only to find out it wasn't real. What a shame. But I've been scammed by jewelry online many times.)"
"Kilalang store ito.Pagdating sa akin ng jewelry, it's just silver—tinubog lang. Then the diamonds were fake. Pero kasi hindi natin alam, baka during shipment may nangyari. (This is a well-known store. When the jewelry arrived, it was just silver—it was just plated. Then the diamonds were fake. But we don't know, maybe something happened during shipment)," the actress said.
Abby also said the store where she got the jewelry still exists.
When asked if she filed charges against the seller, Abby said, "Hindi na. Abuloy ko na lang sa kanila. (No more. I'll donate to them.)"
Abby added, "There's a belief that when you lose jewelry, there's a reason for that. It's something spiritual. I'm into vintage jewelry. I have a vintage jewelry collection."
A few days ago, the actress decided to give jewelry another chance by treating herself to a simple diamond set.
During a recent media conference in Marikina City, Charo said that many celebrities love diamonds.
"Sometimes we invite them to share their jewelry stories in our vlog. But some don't like it," she said.
Charo also said they designed some engagement rings for celebrities. "Again, some celebrities agree to flaunt the ring. But some would like to keep it private."
