Resigned Miss Universe judge claims Miss Mexico a 'fake winner'
The 74th Miss Universe has been announced, but the drama continues.
Lebanese-French composer and businessman Omar Harfouch, who stepped down as a judge in the competition, has called the new Miss Universe, Fatima Bosch of Mexico, a "fake winner."

Omar made the statement in an Instagram post, adding that he was forced to vote for Mexico in the competition.
"Miss Mexico is a fake winner. I, Omar Harfouch, declared yesterday exclusively on the American HBO, 24 hours before the Miss Universe final, that Miss Mexico would win—because Miss Universe owner Raúl Rocha is in business with Fatima Bosch’s father.
"All details will be shown in May 2026 on HBO. Raul Rocha and his son urged me, a week ago in Dubai, to vote for #Fatima Bosh because they need her to win, 'because it will be good for our business,' they said to me," wrote Omar on Instagram.

The Miss Universe Organization has not made any reaction to Omar's claims.
Days before the finals of the 74th Miss Universe beauty pageant in Thailand, two judges of the prestigious beauty contest - Omar and French athlete Claude Makelele - announced on social media that they had resigned.
This is the first time two judges participating in the prestigious competition have resigned.
In a series of Instagram Stories, Omar said he had a disrespectful conversation with Miss Universe owner Raul Rocha about the lack of transparency in the voting process.
The musician also expressed concern about an impromptu jury formed to select the Top 30 finalists from among the participating countries "without the presence of eight real members of the jury."
On the other hand, Claude said he was resigning "due to unforeseen personal reasons."
"This was a difficult decision, as I hold Miss Universe in the highest regard," the athlete said.
