Police try to serve warrant of arrest vs Zaldy Co in Taguig
Police tried to served a warrant of arrest against former rep. Elizaldy “Zaldy” Co at a condominium unit he purportedly owns in Taguig on Nov. 22.
Co is embroiled in the controversy involving flood control projects.
The Sandiganbayan issued the warrant of arrest against Co and others in a criminal case for violation of Republic Act 3019 (Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act).
The warrant of arrest was served at about 11 a.m. at Horizon Homes at Shangri-La in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
It was served by Col. Robert Baesa, acting deputy district director for operations of the Southern Police District; personnel from the Taguig police’s Substation 1; and warrant operatives.
Based on verification, the police said duty manager Richard Paul Estampa and security manager Miguel Del Prado confirmed that Co was not present at the address and that the unit had been sealed for almost a month, indicating non-occupancy.
