Residents of Barangay Buting were the first to receive the food packs on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the local government reminded residents that its official Facebook page, the Pasig City Public Information Office, will post the schedule each morning on the day of distribution. This is to prevent residents from other areas from coming to claim the Pamaskong Handog packs.
“Kaya naman i-check ang Facebook Page ng Pasig City Public Information Office tuwing 5 a.m. para hindi mahuli sa balita! (So be sure to check the Facebook page of the Pasig City Public Information Office every 5 a.m. to stay updated!),” it said.
It also reminded them to wait at their home for the distribution team, as the food packs will still be delivered house-to-house.
Each family will receive one Pamaskong Handog, with one verified PasigPass QR Code to be scanned. If there are three families in one house, three verified PasigPass QR codes must be scanned, and three Pamaskong Handog packs will be given to them.
In addition, the city government clarified that the number of verified PasigPass QR codes per family is not the basis for distributing the Pamaskong Handog.
“Kung ang isang pamilya ay may limang miyembro—at lahat sila ay verified na ang PasigPass....maraming salamat po sa pagsuporta sa programang ito ng Pamahalaang Lungsod tungo sa isang data-driven governance! (If a family has five members—and all of them have a verified PasigPass—thank you very much for supporting this Pamaskong Handog program of the City Government toward a data-driven governance),” it said.
“Isang verified PasigPass QR code lamang po ang kailangan kada pamilya para makakuha ng isang Pamaskong Handog pack (Only one verified PasigPass QR code per family is needed to receive one Pamaskong Handog pack),” it added.
For those whose house is unattended during the distribution, the team will leave a form at the house with instructions on how to claim the food packs.
As Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto said in 2024, all Pasigueños, regardless of their background or status, should receive the Pamaskong Handog to ensure fair and equal treatment for everyone in the city. This includes residents living in condominiums, who will also receive the food packs.
“Una, s'yempre gusto natin magbigay ng kasiyahan sa bawat pamilya Pasigueño. Pangalawa, para sa akin, ito yung mas mahalagang dahilan, naging simbolo na po ang Pangaskong Handog ng pagkakapantay-pantay natin sa mata ng ating gobyerno. Walang palakasan, hindi na kailangan dumaan sa kung sinong malakas, kung sinong leader o organization na malapit sa mayor (First, of course, we want to bring joy to every Pasigueño family. Second, Pamaskong Handog has become a symbol of equality in the eyes of our government. There's no favoritism—there's no need to go through anyone with influence, any leader, or organization close to the mayor),” Sotto explained last year.
The schedule for condominium residents will be announced once the distribution team has finished coordinating with the condominium administrators.
