Fire Officer 2 Paul Servano, BFP-Bacolod spokesperson, said they assisted an emergency labor case at 10 a.m. involving a 22-year-old patient on board a tricycle.
The baby was delivered at 10:12 a.m. while the mother was consciously sitting on a tricycle.
Servano said the mother was enroute to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) here when the tricycle encountered a problem in Barangay Banago this city.
They decided to push the tricycle to reach CLMMRH, but because the mother was already in labor, she delivered the baby in front of the fire station and sought assistance. She was later transported to the hospital.
Servano said the mother is a resident of Barangay Singcang-Airport here but went to Barangay Bata this city on Friday night, Nov. 21.
