A 16-year-old boy sought hospital treatment after being beaten and stabbed by his fellow minors in Tondo, Manila, on Thursday night, Nov. 20.
According to the officials of Barangay 164, the incident may have stemmed from an earlier altercation, where the victim allegedly beat the younger sibling of one of the suspects. The younger sibling reportedly informed his older brother, prompting them and a friend to confront the victim.
The attack was captured on closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from Barangay 164, which showed the three suspects heading toward a computer shop along Dagupan Extension Street, where the victim was about to leave.
The minors allegedly strangled, beat, and kicked him, with one stabbing him with a butterfly knife when he tried to resist.
The suspects then immediately fled the scene.
The victim reportedly sustained six stab wounds.
Authorities are now hunting down the suspect who stabbed the victim, while the victim’s family is cooperating with them to pursue charges against the other suspects.
