Municipal gov't employee in Zamboanga del Sur shot dead

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A municipal government employee was shot dead by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Midsalip town, Zamboanga del Sur province on Thursday, Nov. 20.
Police identified the victim as Rommel Geraldizo Bendicion, 53, a resident of Barangay Timbaboy, Midsalip, and a municipal government employee of Midsalip.
Investigation said Bendicion was walking towards a parking area when a motorcycle with two men onboard appeared.
One of them, wearing a green raincoat, alighted from the motorcycle and fired at the victim.
The victim sustained multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
