A MAN is read his rights following his arrest for rape in Negros Oriental.
BACOLOD CITY – Police have arrested a man in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental for allegedly raping his stepdaughter.
The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) said the 38-year-old suspect allegedly raped the minor victim in their home.
The warrant of arrest for qualified rape of a minor was issued by the Bayawan City Regional Trial Court Branch 63 with no bail recommended.
The suspect, the region's third most wanted person, has been detained for rape through sexual assault when the warrant was served.
The PRO-NIR said it will remain steadfast in its fight against crime and demonstrate that no fugitive can evade the long arm of the law.
