LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Construction of the Hall of Justice here has officially begun.
House Deputy Speaker David C. Suarez led the groundbreaking on Thursday morning, Nov. 20, in Barangay Mayao Parada.
Attending the event were Supreme Court (SC) Associate Justice Midas Marquez, SC Associate Justice Raul Villanueva, Court of Appeals (CA) Associate Justice Robert Marcon, judges in Lucena City and Quezon, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)-Quezon chapter, and Public Attorney's Office.
Suarez initiated the building and will be built in a three-hectare lot donated by former Quezon Gov. Danilo Suarez.
Suarez said it took almost six years for the project to be realized and called the construction a milestone in the judicial history in this city.
The Supreme Court has allotted P800 million for construction.
