Ariana Grande tests positive for COVID after 'Wicked' press tour - reports

Ariana Grande has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a report by variety.com, a popular entertainment site in the US.

As the press and promotional tour for "Wicked: For Good" comes to an end, Ariana shared an Instagram story on Thursday featuring an image of her appearance on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” earlier this week, accompanied by the message, “moments before COVID.”

This news follows Ariana's decision to skip interviews at the New York premiere of “For Good” in solidarity with Cynthia Erivo, who was unwell and had lost her voice.

Due to her positive COVID diagnosis, Ariana has had to withdraw from a taped appearance alongside Erivo on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” Erivo will appear solo for that segment.

Also, Ariana will miss the Q&A discussions about “Wicked: For Good” scheduled for the upcoming days, variety.com added.
