Defending champion Mapua and College of St. Benilde look to strengthen their bids of a quarterfinal bonus when they take on separate foes in the NCAA Season 101 men’s basketball tournament at FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City Friday, Nov. 21.
Riding a three-game win streak, the Cardinals (7–5) aim to secure the incentive against the Arellano Chiefs (6–6), who are also eyeing to secure the prize as the two squads sit side by side in Group A.
Tip-off is at 12 noon which will be followed by a 2:30 p.m. collision of the Blazers and the Emilio Aguinaldo College General.
Clint Escamis leads the Cardinals once again against the feisty Chiefs who are spearheaded by T-Mc Ongotan.
As reigning MVP Allen Liwag remains out, Shawn Umali takes care of business for Benilde as they shoot for three consecutive wins and repeat over EAC, which was already relegated in the play-in with Jose Rizal University.
