P10.6-M drugs seized, 236 wanted persons fall in Central Luzon
A total of 236 wanted individuals were arrested and P10.6-million worth of illegal drugs were seized during a weeklong anti-criminality operation by the Police Regional Office-3.
PRO-3 chief Police Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio I. Peñones Jr. said 158 operations were conducted from Nov. 9 to 16 in Central Luzon.
One-hundred fourteen wanted persons were caught and 1.5 kilos of shabu valued at P10.6 million and 176.19 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P21,143.68 were confiscated.
Forty-four loose firearms were recovered— 39 confiscated or surrendered and 5 placed under safekeeping — and 28 persons were caught for violating Republic Act No. 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
Peñones commended operating units for their dedication and efficiency.
