Adamson bucked a slow start and turned back La Salle, 78-70, to bolster its Final Four bid in the UAAP Season 88 women’s basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on Wednesday, Nov. 19.
Cheska Apag spearheaded the Lady Falcons’ surge with the bench providing ample support as they seized control midway through the first quarter and rode a momentum throughout to exact their revenge over the Lady Archers, who bested them in their first encounter, 53-52, last Oct. 22.
With the second stringers conniving for 43 points, Apag still led the offensive rally with 19 points on top of seven rebounds, six assists and four steals for Adamson, which improved to a 6-7 record for solo fourth.
La Salle, for its part, dropped to 4-8.
Kemi Adeshina also shone for the Lady Falcons and flirted with a double-double performance after listing 17 points and nine boards, even as Elaine Etang contributed 12 points, four rebounds, eight assists and one steal.
Pau Anastacio and Luisa Dela Paz steered La Salle with 19 and 10 points, but their efforts all went for naught.

The Baby Falcons showed no mercy and led by as many as 36, 62-26, and never looked back on their way to their eighth win against five defeats to remain at fourth.
Uno Del Monte led Adamson with 17 points, two rebounds, and five assists, while Kyle Abas and Fran Flores added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
La Salle-Zobel sustained its 12 straight losses in as many games despite Enzo Purugganan finishing with 12 points, three rebounds, and one steal, and Christian Mercado chipped in eight points.
Earlier, Ateneo rediscovered its form with a 76-60 win over University of the Philippines-Integrated School to snap its six-game losing skid for 3-9.
JD Juangco erupted for 29 points, eight rebounds and one assist for the Blue Eagles, while Domeng Ngo backstopped him with 12 points.
UPIS fell to 1-12.
