The suspects were identified as Shuwdei, 31, and Lao Pang, 32. They were arrested at their residence on the 6th floor of the Nasdake Building, located at the corner of William Street and FB Harrison Street, Barangay 13, Pasay City.
The SPD said the arrest of the suspects was made by members of the District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) with support from the District Intelligence Division (DID), the Intelligence Section of the District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB-SPD), and the Pasay City Police Women and Children Protection Section.
The SPD said the suspects were arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Divina Gracia Lopez Peliño, of Pasay Regional Trial Court Branch 116, for Qualified Trafficking under R.A. 11862 (Section 4(j) in relation to Section 6(c)), with no bail recommended.
The SPD said an interpreter informed the suspects of their constitutional rights in Mandarin after the arrest was made.
The arrested suspects are now detained at the DSOU custodial facility.
