ILOILO CITY – The 2025 Panublion trade fair of the Department of Trade and Industry-Western Visayas earned P11.8 million, surpassing its target by P3 million or 40 percent.
The DTI-6 set an P8-million sales target for the recent trade fair at SM City Iloilo that showcased 150 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from the region.
“The record-breaking sales reflect the growing market recognition of Western Visayan products and the effectiveness of DTI programs,” said DTI-6 Regional Director Maria Dinda Tamayo.
The province of Aklan had the highest sales with P5.7 million.
The province and city of Iloilo earned P2.8 million.
Guimaras province earned P966,000; P902,000 for Negros Occidental province; P548,000 for Capiz province, and P502,000 for Antique province.
Among the products sold were food, beverages, home decors, and fashion items.
This year’s Panublion had other side activities – the Enterprise Visits, which connected regional MSMEs with buyers and partners from Metro Manila, road show for DTI’s One Town, One Product (OTOP) program, and the DTI Bagwis Awards, which awarded 41 local businesses with ethical business practices.
