40 wanted persons arrested in Cordillera

Police arrested 40 wanted persons in the Cordillera region from Nov. 9 to 15.
The Police Regional Office-Cordillera Administrative Region said the Baguio City Police Office apprehended 11, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with 10; Ifugao PPO with nine; Kalinga PPO with four; Mountain Province PPO with three, and the Abra and Apayao PPOs with one each.
Continuous police visibility resulted in zero crime incidents in 54 municipalities in the region – 20 in Abra, nine in Ifugao, eight in Benguet, seven in Apayao and Mountain Province, and three in Kalinga – and two police stations in Baguio, Police Stations 6 and 8.
PRO-Cordillera achieved 74.24 percent crime elimination efficiency and 71.21 percent crime resolution efficiency. These demonstrated their strong commitment to ensuring peace and safety in the region.
