'Masyado na siyang bilib sa sarili': Puno says these 2 Zaldy Co stories are the hardest to believe

Out of all the supposed "crazy stories" spewed by Zaldy Co in his three-part video exposé against the administration, House Deputy Speaker Antipolo City 1st district Rep. Ronaldo "Ronnie" Puno said there were two in particular that he found harder to beleive than most.
Puno identified these two claims from Co during a press conference with fellow House of Representatives leaders on Monday, Nov. 17.
"Alam niyo hindi na namin sana papansin ito eh kasi puro malabo mga kuwento niya eh (You know, we really wouldn’t have paid attention to this anymore because all of his stories are unclear)," Puno said of the former Ako Bicol Party-list representative and Committee on Appropriations chairman.
"For example, sabi niya yung Presidente kinausap si [Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah] Pangandaman at si Undersecretary [Adrian] Bersamin para puntahan siya at makiusap na magsingit ng P100 billion na projects," he said.
(For example, he said that the President spoke with [Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah] Pangandaman and Undersecretary [Adrian] Bersamin to go to him and ask that P100 billion worth of projects be inserted.)
Chiding Co, Puno says the ex-solon wasn't even capable of carrying out such request. "Masyado na siyang bilib sa sarili niya eh (He has too much confidence in himself)."
"Sinong Presidente ang kailangang makiusap sa isang committee chairman sa House at hindi naman niya kaya i-deliver lahat iyan. So bakit siya papakiusapan ng napakaraming makapangyarihan na tao para gawin yung hindi naman niya talaga kayang gawin? asked Puno.
(What President would need to plead with a committee chairman in the House, when he cannot even deliver all of that? So why would so many powerful people ask him to do something that he really cannot do?)
"So number one yun, medyo malayo talaga yun sa katotohanan ano (So that’s number one, it’s really quite far from the truth, right)," pointed out the National Unity Party (NUP) chairman.
'Walang natanggap'
"Pangalawa, wala daw siyang natanggap o nakuha dito sa lahat ng mga projects na to. Eh di san nanggaling yung mga eroplano, saan nanggaling yung mga helicopter, yung mga bahay niya sa Europe at kung saan saan?" he said, referring to Co's alleged billions worth of air assets and real estate properties.
(Second, he said he didn’t receive or get anything from all of these projects. Well then, where did the airplanes come from, where did the helicopters come from, where did his houses in Europe and elsewhere come from?)
Co claimed in his videos over the weekend that he didn't benefit from President Marcos' alleged P100 billion worth of project insertions in the 2025 national budget.
Citing records that he personally checked, Puno said Co owned three planes, with one of them allegedly worth $36 million. Even big name companies in the central business district (CBD) of Makati City can't afford such assets, the House leader said.
"San nanggaling lahat yun--yung hotel niya. San galing yun? Dapat pakita niya kung saan...Ano yan, milagro? Saan nanaman nanggaling yan? (Where did all of that come from—his hotel? Where did that come from? He should show where… What is that, a miracle? Where did that come from again?)" Puno said.
Puno didn’t bite his tongue regarding what he personally thinks of Co.
"Ang dami kasing sinasabi niyan na parang mapapatahimik ka na lang kasi imposible talaga hindi mo alam papaano mo sasagutin dahil anlayo talaga sa katotohanan (He says so many things that you’re just left speechless, because it’s really impossible, you don’t even know how to answer them, since it’s so far from the truth)," the Antipolo lawmaker said.
"It's so hard to argue with somebody who is talking crazy, if obviously whatever argument you have will have no relation to the truth," he said.
"Wala siyang kinikita? Nakiusap sa kanya yung presidente? Parang hindi talaga pepwede yung ganyan (He has no income? The President pleaded with him? That kind of thing really isn’t possible)," Puno further said.
