Authorities arrested six people, including a 19-year-old, during a drug buy-bust operation in Muntinlupa on Nov. 16.
Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Manila and Southern District Offices, and the Muntinlupa police conducted the operation at No. 114 San Guillermo St., Barangay Bayanan.
Arrested were six high-value individuals identified by the police as alias Naldo, 37; alias Reyzen, 44; alias Isidro, 42; alias Raffy, 37; alias Mary, 19; and alias Icah, 32, all residents of the same compound in the barangay.
Operatives seized 15 grams of shabu valued at P102,000 placed in 10 plastic sachets, assorted drug paraphernalia and a genuine P500 bill used as buy-bust money.
The police will file a complaint against the suspects for violating Sections 5 (sale), 6 (maintenance of a den, dive or resort), 7 (employees and visitors of a den, dive or resort) and 15 (use of dangerous drugs) under Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
They were turned over to the PDEA Manila District Office for further investigation and filing of charges.
“This operation sends a clear message, we will not allow drug syndicates to operate in our area. Our commitment to keeping Southern Metro Manila safe remains firm,” said Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, acting district director of the Southern Police District.
