BUTUAN CITY – Four people died Monday after a 10-wheel truck rammed two motorcycles in Surigao City, police said.
The crash occurred at 5:19 a.m. in Barangay Quezon, killing both drivers and their back riders.
In a report, Surigao City police identified the truck driver as Randy Flores Gonzaga, 36, of Kibawe, Bukidnon. The truck first hit a Nissan Urvan van before plowing into the motorcycles.
Authorities identified the motorcycle drivers as Edmar Lanugon Amplayo and Ferdinand Jay Rosite Rodriguez. They are still working to identify the two back riders.
Gonzaga remains in police custody for further investigation. (PNA)
