Oliver Tolentino shines at LAFW with 'Imperium' collection
Noted fashion designer Oliver Tolentino graced the runway of Los Angeles Fashion Week (LAFW) as the closing featured designer. The premier fashion event, presented by F/Row, took place on Oct. 25, 2025. Oliver showcased a 28-piece Imperium collection that illustrated strength and power. The presentation’s focus on black, white, and silver looks marked a departure from his usual bold color palettes.
The women’s pieces featured a combination of hand-embellished gowns, dresses, and tailored pantsuits. The gowns and cocktail dresses predominantly highlighted Roman goddess–inspired flowing silhouettes, with bodices adorned in sequins, chainmail, rhinestones, rosettes, and ostrich feathers. Several structured mini dresses were also presented, accented with rhinestone draping.
Oliver showcased tailored pantsuits for women as well, with several pieces featuring black and white prints he designed on Mikado fabric, along with others crafted from crushed velvet and tweed. The suits included palazzo and culotte-style trousers.
For his men’s looks, the designer presented matching black and silver brocade pants and jackets, black brocade pants and vest paired with a black beaded jacket, an eco piña (pineapple fiber) shirt, and a brocade overcoat paired with a fringed scarf.
F/Row held LAFW at The Hole, a large museum space in Los Angeles. The event featured six designers, with Oliver closing the night.
The Oliver Tolentino brand celebrated three anniversaries last month: the 10th anniversary of his Beverly Hills boutique on Robertson Boulevard, the 15th anniversary of his Manila boutique in Makati City, and the first anniversary of his showroom in San Francisco, California.
