Northern Iloilo 'drug queen' yields P12.2-M shabu

ILOILO CITY – A woman dubbed as ‘’drug queen’’ in northern Iloilo province was caught in a buy-bust operation on Saturday night.

The drug supplier, Che Che, was arrested in Sara town. Recovered from her was suspected shabu worth P12.2 million.

The Iloilo Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Team (IPPO-PDET) led by Police Major Dadje Delima apprehended the 37-year-old suspect from Estancia town. Also nabbed during the operation were her live-in partner and brother.

Delima said the suspects were arrested after four months of intensive surveillance as she and her cohorts are moving around towns in northern Iloilo.

The operation was initiated after concerned citizens in Sara were able to provide vital information on her movements.

The suspect allegedly receives her supply from Metro Manila.

Iloilo police chief Police Col. Bayani Razalan lauded operating units for arresting the suspects who face criminal charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
