Mercullo said their presence in the event symbolizes the trust and confidence placed in them to help maintain peace and order while ensuring the rights, safety, and welfare of thousands of participants.
Prior to deployment, they received a comprehensive command briefing to ensure operational readiness and mission clarity.
Mercullo is optimistic of their mission’s success due to their proven competence in crowd management, situational response, and adherence to police standards.
Meanwhile, the Quezon Police Provincial Office (QPPO) is on full alert for the rally.
A complete accounting of all police forces in the province was conducted to ensure sufficient forces for the security of the activity.
Uniformed personnel on leave were ordered to report for duty to meet the need for increased deployment.
Police Col. Romulo Albacea, Quezon police director, conducted an inspection of the logistical requirements of the CDM contingents for the rally to ensure that they are ready for crowd management and immediate response if necessary.
