Man injured after alleged machete attack in Tondo; Jealousy eyed as motive

A man was injured after allegedly being struck multiple times with a machete by his friend in Barangay 230, Tondo, Manila.
According to barangay officials, the victim was fortunate that the first blow to his face landed with the back of the blade, preventing more serious injuries.
A CCTV footage from nearby Barangay 229, Zone 21 showed the suspect retrieving a machete from his home shortly before the incident.
Investigators say jealousy is being considered as the motive behind the attack.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspect, who fled after the assault.
