Hollis-Jefferson not only provided the highlight dunks that generated oohs and aahs from the enthusiastic Cebuano crowd but also connived with fellow import Ismael Romero in punishing the interior defense of the Black Bears.
The former NBA player erupted with 34 points to go with his 11 rebounds, five assists and two blocks while the 6-foot-9 Romero was an immovable force inside the paint with 25 points, 28 rebounds, four assists and two blocks.
Asian import Mohammadsina Vahedi was saddled by foul trouble but still finished with 10 points, four assists and two steals while Chris Banchero led the locals with 12 points – six of which he nailed in the final frame to help keep Macau at bay.
The Bolts picked up their second straight victory for an even 2-2 record at the second spot of the Group B standings. They can sweep their three-game home stand when they once again host the Black Bears at the Capital Arena in Ilagan City, Isabela in December.
Damian Chongqui paced Macau with 25 points while Omari Peek-Green and Jalon Miller had 14 apiece.
