BARMM-MOH team deployed to Cebu province.
DAVAO CITY – The Ministry of Health (MOH) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has deployed 41 medical workers to provide medical services to calamity-hit areas in Cebu province.
MOH chief Dr. Kadil M. Sinolinding Jr. said the team from the MOH regional office under the OplanSam Kalusugan MOH program, Bangsamoro Health Outreach Program for Everyone (BHOPE), and Health Emergency Management Services (HEMS) will be deployed to the municipalities of Balamban and Asturias in Cebu.
Some of them will extend medical assistance to the Eversley Child Sanitarium and General Hospital in Mandaue City.
“They will be in two composite teams for community operations in Balamban and Asturias and at Eversley Child Sanitarium and General Hospital in Mandaue City, Cebu province. They brought health commodities for the mission,” Sinolinding said.
Doctors from IPHO Maguindanao and IPHO Lanao del Sur will join the team starting Nov. 19, the MOH chief said.
The province of Cebu was heavily devastated following the magnitude-6.9 earthquake and super typhoons ‘’Tino’’ and ‘’Uwan.’’
Sinolinding assured the people in Central Visayas that the Bangsamoro government is always ready to assist during these trying times. “In times of disaster, whether Bangsamoro or not, we are all one Filipino nation ready to help each other.”
BHOPE team leader medical specialist III Dr. Muhammad Candao said that they are grateful to help calamity survivors.
