Quilates is new PRO-9 chief

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Police Brig. Gen. Edwin A. Quilates is the new Police Regional Office-9 chief.
He assumed the position during a change of command ceremony on Friday. He replaced Police Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta.
Quilates was former Drug Enforcement Group chief. He brings extensive experience in drug enforcement to the PRO-9.
Matta, who was appointed to PRO-9 last July 11, is the new chief of the Directorate for Information and Communications Technology Management (DICTM).
Their reassignment was signed by Police Major Gen. Neri Vincent Ignacio and approved by PNP chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez.
